Book Clubs Creative Product
Book Club group members will create an individual creative product based on their novel. An analysis of your product and its relevance to your book will be required. Some options may include:
* character's scrapbook
* diorama set design for a key scene
* a costume mood board
* the creation of a key symbol / object from the novel; this may be a collage of symbols
* a 10-song soundtrack for the novel, featuring an actual CD, cover, analysis of song choices and why they fit
* an additional scene written as a 4-6 page screenplay
* a 4-6 page graphic novel for a particluar scene
* a short music video (see Shorter Works for sample of "The Veldt")
* Something more clever than what I could possibly imagine! See me!
See rubric below.
As a group, you will present information about your book to the class. Key aspects of plot, characters, themes, etc. should be addressed in your presentation. A media product (ex. slide show, prezi, website) can be created as a platform for your presentation with your members to help display your novel.
You will also be expected to record your conversation and submit to a dropbox in order to demonstrate your knowledge of your novel. Instructions will follow. Get started by ensuring you have an audio recorder on your device, such as Audacity (see below).
